My great passion in life is creativity. I am a photographer and a published poet with work featured in Cherish: The Joy of Our Mother in Heaven books. Cherish ranked at #1 in Mormonism and #38 in Christian Women’s Issues on the Amazon Best Sellers list. It thrills me to announce that my debut novel, UNLUCKY CHARM SUMMER, will be published May 2026 with Chicken Scratch Books.
I have a degree in Business Marketing Management from Western Governors University. In between chasing my two messy little muses and managing community outreach for our not-for-profit Cinderella Project Utah, you can always find me scribbling away stories just like eight-year old me used to do in my composition notebook on the roof outside my bedroom window in rural Colorado.

Unlucky Charm Summer

Middle-Grade Historical Fiction Mystery

For eleven and a half years, Duke Foster has been passed from one crummy foster family to another- one hundred and two of them, in fact. Since the day she was dumped on the steps of Merciful Heart Children’s Home in Brooklyn she’s had almost nothing but bad luck. She’s a pest. A nuisance. The reason her case worker carries a jumbo-sized bottle of headache medicine in his briefcase. Unlovable.
In a strange twist of fate, a fire in her tenement building sets in motion a series of events that will lead her to discover that not only does she have parents, (the wonderful kind who love you and play Parcheesi and would never leave you on a doorstep,) but she also has a sister. A twin sister. One who was adopted to a family in lowcountry coastal Georgia and who shares Duke’s love of Nancy Drew detective novels.
As their paths cross in 1968, Duke and Daisy embark on a mystery of their own to find their biological parents- a journey that includes a circus bursting with dark secrets, hurricanes, and cats with very fluffy ears. But just as quickly as they are unraveling the mystery of their pasts, someone else is trying to bury any remaining clues, keeping them from their biological parents and the truth behind their family forever.

The Miracle Experiment

Religious Narrative Nonfiction

We’re taught we can have the Holy Ghost with us always—so why does guidance still feel so hard to recognize and follow?

The constant companionship of the Spirit is a remarkable gift, one that should inspire confidence, direction, and everyday opportunities to share the goodness of the gospel. It should also open the door to witnessing real miracles. And yet many struggle to understand, trust, and act on the quiet revelations whispered by the Holy Ghost.

Years ago, Mark Hampton found himself wrestling with that very question. In a conversation with a close friend, they developed a simple challenge and a practical solution: a “miracle experiment.”

With clear doctrinal insights, thoughtful questions, and step-by-step guidance, The Miracle Experiment helps readers learn to tune into the Spirit and take faithful initiative on the Lord’s errand—so they can recognize His hand more often and experience His miracles more personally.

What I'm Working On

Foxglove

Historical Fiction

The American West has long been man's country. The stories, myths, and tales told in history books are overwhelmingly masculine, and the few feminine figures documented have often been reduced to nothing more than background characters.

Foxglove navigates the buttes and dusty trails of the "Wild West" through a feminine lens, examining the grit and grief of four women brought together by one central trauma.
